Chart of Fundamental Particles and Interactions... including the newly discovered top quark and tau neutrino! The chart summarizes the world of particles (including quarks, gluons, and neutrinos) and the fundamental forces. It is available in three sizes. You can view scanned images (medium = 103K), (largest = 382K). A feature story in Science Magazine, headlined "Move Over Mendeleyev," describes the CPEP "chart of the subatomic world" as "the physicist's answer to the chemist's periodic table of the elements." The story discusses injecting "the excitement of the latest physics into classroom teaching." More than 200,000 copies of the chart have been distributed. |
